This might sound like science fiction, but it’s happening right now at Rhode Island’s biggest health system. Yet most people have no idea.
Lifespan had been a trusted name in the region for years. But in a time of fierce competition for patients and top medical talent, it needed more of an advantage. By becoming Brown University Health, the system gained instant credibility. But a name change alone wasn’t enough. People needed to see what it meant.
So we pulled back the curtain. Using light as a metaphor for knowledge and discovery, we broke through the sameness of healthcare advertising by showing Brown University Health doctors and researchers in a dramatic black-box studio, with beams of light highlighting the groundbreaking work they do every day.
This campaign made sure everyone in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts knew that world class medicine wasn’t a flight away, it was right in their backyard.
