BRIAN GROSS / creative partner

Having won pretty much all of the industry’s important awards (One Show, Communications Arts, Clio, Hatch, Archive), Brian no longer needs to use hair to demonstrate his creativity. One of nail’s founding partners, Brian has helped it grow from two guys and some borrowed computers to a multi-national holding company with over 34,000 employees. OK, not quite yet, but he has led nail to eight straight years as Rhode Island’s leading agency at the Hatch Awards for Creative Excellence. He would cut off his right arm to pitch for the Mets. Of course, a lot of good that would do.

ALEC BECKETT / creative partner

Alec went to an expensive prep school. He went to an even more expensive college. Then he went into advertising. And should his parents ever speak to him again, he will tell them about working at huge, dreadful agencies like Grey, NYC and cutting edge boutiques like Ground Zero, LA, winning some awards along the way (Cannes, Clio, One Show, Communication Arts, Belding, Hatch) before joining nail. As the ad industry goes through seismic shifts, Alec is intent on keeping nail one of the nation’s most innovative marketing companies. In the mean time, if you see his parents tell them he got married and has two young children.

JEREMY CRISP / managing partner

Like the Pilgrims, Jeremy came to America enthralled at the possibilities on this side of the Atlantic. Unlike the pilgrims, Jeremy had extensive marketing experience both on the client and agency side of the business—and much less goofy taste in hats. A graduate of the ridiculously old and respected Trinity College in Dublin, Jeremy spent nine years on the client side in Ireland with Sega, Guinness, Britvic (makers of popular UK soda Tango) and finally Nestlé. Tired of all the dry cleaning bills, he migrated to an ad agency, joining QMP Publicis as Deputy Managing Director. His success growing his clients’ as well as his agency’s business attracted the attention of JWT—the largest advertising group in Ireland. In his five years as managing director there he oversaw many of the most visible and successful campaigns in the country for brands like Amstel, Microsoft and The National Lottery. Now he’s on American shores and has been here long enough that he may actually punch the next person who asks him to say, “They’re magically delicious!
