[HOW THE INTERNET WILL END THE RECESSION.]

I never get tired of these stories. Smart design solutions + crowd funding + blog buzz = dreams becoming reality in a week.

These guys raised 70k in three days to fund their tripod/kickstand for the iPhone 4 and then proceeded to double their money a few days later. (An aside: There’s a weird little micro-meme going on here with this bearded guy who makes all the hot new start-ups’ videos like Flipboard, Square, Glif…)

I just think its amazing that two young people can work on a design in their spare time, present it to the world as a mockup and in a week have their creation become a reality. Really inspiring. This is the type of stuff our country needs to encourage more of if we want to get ourselves out of this recession. 10 or 20 of these little ideas a day will add up to more economic energy than the once-in-a-generation Googles or Microsofts.

These guys will probably have a company by the end of the year and be hiring people by the end of next year. Do your part, place your order today.
